It’s all happening in our Innovation team! We’re the first train operating company to be awarded an Innovation fund so the pressure is on to really shake up the industry. We’re busy coming up with exciting new ideas and need a Project Manager to help us deliver.

Can you stand up to the pressure of delivering various projects at once to time, to budget, and to quality requirements? Can you hold your own under scrutiny? Can you demonstrate you deliver? This role isn’t for the uninitiated; it’s a challenge to deliver large scale projects, are you up for it?

Brief description of main tasks/activities

You will be responsible for a team of Project leads, delivering programs from concept to business as usual. You’ll be in charge of the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of all Innovation projects.

You will need to deliver project objectives by planning project activities, evaluating implementation and progress and reporting milestones to the DfT.

Details of level of skills/competence/essential qualifications required

To be successful in this role you will need

·         Experience of managing and leading a team

·         Business focused with an air of creativity

·         Business development and negotiation experience

·         Strong influencing and communication skills

·         Prince 2 qualified

·         EFQM/Lean Six Sigma

·         Project Management experience

·         Good understanding of financial analysis, cost tracking and preparation of Benefits Cases.

Brief description of working environment / hours / shifts

37 Hours per week with flexibility as required. The role can be based out of any of the main locations across our route.

Requirement to travel extensively and work in line with business demands.
