Senior Project Manager
Salary and Benefits £39,199.00 - £48,000.00 + private healthcare, pension, annual performance related bonus, 28 days annual leave, company car/car allowance.
What will the role involve?
You will be accountable for the development and delivery of capital projects and sub-programmes of work to achieve business targets and objectives.
You will drive excellent standards and performance in health and safety, contract management and risk management and ensure that robust financial management and commercial awareness form the foundation of all business decisions within your team.
What skills are we looking for?
As the successful candidate you will have experience of leading, motivating and influencing teams with a proven track record of driving sustainable performance to demanding business targets.
You will have developed people leader skills and the capability to lead a team of professional project managers with authority.
Other key demonstrable experience required are:
- Experience of operating in a capital construction environment with excellent knowledge of contract management and the use of NEC Contracts.
- An in-depth experience of CDM Regulations.
- Proven experience of driving and delivering multi-million capital investment programmes to time, cost and quality.
- Essential to have experience of making commercial decisions in complex technical and political circumstances.
- Strong inter-personal skills allowing you to build and maintain effective relationships even under difficult circumstances. It is therefore essential that you have experience of communicating and presenting business cases for funding approval and budgetary control to senior organisational personnel.
You will also need well-developed organisational and project management skills with ability to lead change and drive through new ways of working and demonstrate specific experience in one of the following disciplines:
- Civil Construction
- Water and Waste Water Process
- Programme/Project Management
Previous experience gained within the water or waste water sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry sectors is desirable.
