Position is permanent with Attractive salary package for correct candidate and may include other added benefits such as pension contribution, Private healthcare, transport, mobile phone amongst other benefits.

Preferably Degree qualified, with ideally knowledge and understanding in the water / waste water industry BUT not essential if can demonstrate experience in multiple industries. Our client are not interested in candidates who have solely Oil & Gas sector experience.

Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of NEC forms of contract. To be familiar with MSProject and / or P6 Primavera planning software and to be competent with MS Excel. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the successful delivery of multiple projects ranging from £50k to £3M, be a good communicator and have experience of with suppliers / subcontractors including amicable resolution of disputes and management / close out of defects. Candidate will have good process related experience with intricate knowledge of the projects they have worked on. Also able to demonstrate both short and long term project lifecycles due to client demands.

Ideally Candidates will come from an Mechanical or Electrical background but Civils will be considered if they have Water Industry experience and an appreciation of M&E.

Additional requirements

Appreciation of Health & Safety preferably with a formal qualification such as IOSHH 4 day or similar. A project Manager / Engineer who is able to converse with a degree of competency with the client to proffer competitive solutions to meet the client’s needs / budget constraints. Ideally the candidate must have experience of some or all (preferably all) of the following:

  • Site surveys
  • Scope preparation and innovation
  • Tendering & negotiation
  • CSCS Card preferred
  • First Aid trained preferred
  • DOMS / EUSR Preferred
  • Confined space trained Preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size, value and complexity
  • Management of project costs and programme
  • Experience of managing in-house installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers
  • Knowledge of NEC3 forms of contract
  • Close out of defects

An appreciation of other disciplines (i.e. if an electrical engineer, will need to be prepared to get involved and show a willingness to work on projects that invoice Mechanical and civil aspects. Full Drivers licence essential

Candidate must have a valid Full Driving license.

Candidate can expect long term career.

Upper tier for Project managers and Lower Tier for Project Engineers. Project Engineers looking to make the jump up considered.
