The University of Cambridge is seeking to make the appointment of a Project Manager to lead a range of estate development projects as part of the University’s £2.9 billion investment programme.

The University has an incredibly diverse and large scale (660,000 sq. m. GIA excluding College estate) portfolio and has an estate development programme that will see capital investment range from £150m-£200m annually over the next 5 years and cumulative investment of £2.9bn over the next two decades.
Working within the Estate Projects team, the Project Manager will deliver a broad range of major capital projects valued up to and in excess of £50m across the University’s diverse estate portfolio including new build, redevelopment and adaptation schemes to academic and research facilities, historic buildings, commercial property and recreational space. You will be responsible for the day to day management of large scale, high profile and technically complex projects from inception to completion as the University’s client side Project Manager.
The successful candidate will have gained significant experience of managing a range of large scale construction and property projects (probably valued up to and in excess of £20m) within either a client project manager or a client's consultant role. You will have strong technical and commercial skills, with proven experience of working with a variety of contract types and technically complex property and project types. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential as you will be required to lead projects across a high-profile, complex organisation successfully working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
