Programme Management Office (PMO) Analyst
Contribute to the nation’s success…
The newly created Project Management Office within the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) is at the heart of some of the most exciting decisions that will be made in light of the UK leaving the European Union. The Programme Management Office will be instrumental in how the department approaches the development of new policies and legislation. You will therefore be at the heart of this work as you support the successful delivery of projects in the department, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure objectives are being achieved.
With your duties ranging from commissioning information to contributing to programme audits and reporting on the health of your assigned projects, no two days will be the same in this small but fast-paced team. Offering guidance on achieving the best results, you will track the success of your projects and assist in the production of PMO papers such as RAID logs. You may also be encouraged to take an expert practitioner role in either Risk, Issues and Dependencies, Governance, Reporting or Change. You will either be a PRINCE2 Practitioner, a P30 Practitioner or an APM Registered Project Professional. With two years of experience in a Project and Programme Management role, you will understand how to engage with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring their thoughts and opinions are being implemented. A natural leader, you will have the ability to handle complex projects and you will be comfortable thinking creatively to facilitate optimum results across this fascinating department.
