Role Description:

Bridge Recruitment have been appointed to source an Operations Director for a leading provider of facilities management and public services Company who deliver to local government, health and housing associations.

Their Group of Companies generates a turnover in excess of £150million and provides employment for over 8000 staff.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Director of Operations you will be given significant freedom and support to lead, manage and develop their commercially focused catering service. This is a unique role that will require you to support current contracts while growing the business via successful tendering for commercial work.

Responsibilities

·Provide inspirational leadership that stretches and develops your operational reports

·Maintain excellent relationships with partners/customers delivering on a wide range of challenges, always ensuring that priorities/objectives are properly balanced/understood

·Be accountable for understanding and delivering profitability on accurate financial budgets.

·Fully participate in business growth developing a strong financial partnering with the management accountant in order to bring added value to the business

·Achieve ‘premium’ food safety standards to meet the requirements of existing Quality Assurance Systems and Environmental Health obligations through HACCP

·Develop the sales and marketing strategy aligned to the commercial sector, deliver on and contribute to this strategy at all required levels of the business

·Development of the maintenance and monitoring of MI systems appropriate to the ongoing needs of the business

·Actively contribute to the strategic direction of the business as part of the senior management team

Ideal Candidate:

·You will be able to demonstrate motivational leadership qualities that will develop and evolve the business to continue to provide a quality led service. As well as being ambitious personally, you will be passionate about developing others ‘careers and supporting all areas within the business

·You will have proven transferable Senior Management experience within a commercial contract catering organisation and will be able to support this with relevant qualifications/accreditations to professional bodies

·You will have sound financial management experience with a proven record of effective P&L management of portfolios in excess of £5M

·You will bring a track record of being able to influence and negotiate strong business relationships with customers, partners and all other stakeholders

Person Specification

·Previous experience within a Senior Management role within a commercial catering organisation

·Highly motivated, committed to providing high quality service

·Strong networking and negotiating skills 

·IT literate with a sound understanding of systems including HACCP

·Articulate communicator able to influence others and comfortable liaising with decision makers at all levels
