A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Head of Projects to join Clatterbridge PropCare Services Ltd (PropCare) following the planned retirement of the current post holder.

PropCare is the wholly owned subsidiary of the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre and was established in 2016 to provide the Trust with strategic and operational estates services including the delivery of the Trust's new flagship cancer centre in Liverpool.

The Head of Projects will be a key member of the PropCare senior management team and will be responsible for the successful delivery of all current and new projects in the PropCare portfolio.

The role will initially be based on the Wirral with travel to other sites; in the longer term it may be based in Liverpool.

The Role:

You will:

. Be responsible for the delivery of design, equipping and operational commissioning plans to support the new Cancer Hospital.
. Be responsible for the PropCare projects portfolio and project team, ensuring robust project management plans are in place.
. Ensure appropriate projects portfolio reporting is in place for presentation to the Board and to the Shareholder.
. Contribute to the development of the PropCare business plan and marketing strategy and be integral to the on-going development of the PropCare projects portfolio.
. Be responsible for ensuring that value for money is achieved from the contracts held by PropCare both at the point of procurement/agreement and during contract operation budgeting, planning and forecasting cycle and the monthly reporting process.

The Candidate:

. Qualified with a master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area
. Able to influence and communicate at both Board and Operational level and with a partnering approach to influencing change
. Significant leadership experience and knowledge gained at a senior level within a complex organisation/environment, including commercial negotiations, public sector procurement, contractual frameworks and project and staff management.
. Experience of the delivery of complex healthcare capital development projects
. Experience of FM procurement
