Senior Project Manager
King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of more £1 billion per year, 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 12,000 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
King’s College Hospital (KCH) is on an exciting improvement journey and two opportunities to be part of the Divisional Improvement Team have arisen. This team delivers strategic and front line change, continuous improvement training, and supports the Trust to improve safety, quality, experience for patients and staff, and productivity.
The role of Senior Project Manager at KCH is to manage projects and programmes that enable the Clinical Division to meet Trust objectives and strategy. The Divisional Director is SRO for these programmes and they may be externally required or internally generated. . This will lead to a wide variety of work that will keep the successful applicant challenged and also allow significant exposure to all aspects of a large teaching hospital.
Support and Development is provided through the Improvement Team with line management by the Programme Director to ensure that the team is continuously improving and growing in its ability to deliver successful and lasting change.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record of service improvement and/or operational management with responsibility for the full range of operational and clinical services.
Highly developed leadership and influencing skills with the ability to enthuse, motivate and involve individuals and teams are essential for this role.
