We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join a fast moving company, the department will be within the O&G sector.
You will contribute to internationally renowned work on established and emerging Structural Health and Condition Monitoring processes, techniques and procedures. You will strengthen the core skills of an innovative team and be responsible for project management, proposals, R&D and innovation management.
Job description and role duties:
The role would suit a talented and ambitious researcher to integrate teams between Cambridge and Wales.
The objective is to add to the expertise of the team, taking responsibility for:
• Participating in feasibility analysis, project scoping, and providing realistic task durations for schedule/milestone planning.
• Build analysis strategies based on condition and structural monitoring techniques, dedicated for operation and testing of Non-metallic pipes, joints and tanks.
• Carrying out condition assessment of structures using methodologies for calculation of damage progress and lifetime estimation for Non-metallic structures.
• Understanding requirement and delivering solution for fatigue, fracture and other damage mechanisms related to Non-metallic structures using techniques such as acoustic emission and vibration analysis.
The successful candidate would ideally qualified to a PHD level in a relevant discipline such as mechanical or electrical engineering. Candidate should be proficient with mechanical testing and analysis, relevant analysis tools with practical hands-on experience along with proven experience with mixture of analytical, experimental and theoretical analysis in condition and structural monitoring,
You will need to demonstrate experience with collaborative project management and business development along with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong documentation and writing skills are a must.
