Diamond Light Source is the UK’s national synchrotron science facility, located at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Oxfordshire.  The facility is used by over 3,000 academic and industrial researchers across a wide range of disciplines including structural biology, energy, engineering and environmental sciences.

At Diamond, we run a wide range of complex projects that underpin world class, cutting edge science. The success of our projects depends on having a clear understanding of the resources, both people and materials, required to deliver them. To achieve this Diamond is in the process of implementing Project Online as a Resource management system. We need an experienced Project Resource Planner to be the central point of contact for project resource demand, and work closely with our Project Managers and Heads of Department to allocate resources to projects in a timely and efficient way. You will maintain the Resource master plan for our major projects, operations and R&D activities within Project Online, recognise hot spots and suggest potential solutions to conflicts where appropriate.

The Project Resource Planner will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of our resource management process and system. Excellent IT skills are required and the ability to quickly pick up and engage with new software.
