Contributing to the UK’s successful exit from the European Union, your project management skills will be applied to either the central EU Exit Portfolio Management Office, or an EU Exit-related workstream.. Regardless of which team you join, you will:

  • Take responsibility for delivering either a standalone or  number of projects that will vary in size, scope and content, ensuring they are meeting their objectives and that they are delivered on time and within budget. 
  • Build close working relationships with government and industry stakeholders at all levels, seeing to it that they remain engaged with all stages of the project.
  • Take responsibility for overall governance and risk management, anticipating issues before they become a problem and feeding into a risk register.
  • Support senior colleagues in delivering their more complex projects. Working flexibly, you will take on a broad variety of challenges such as building business cases, project planning and reporting.

As a highly-driven individual, you will be proactive in your approach to understanding the changing needs of your project, and you will have excellent risk awareness. Working flexibly to accommodate information as it becomes available, you will be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment. Coming from a project or programme management background, you will have practical experience of applying the relevant tools and methodologies, cemented by one of the following qualifications: Managing Successful Programmes (MSP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Project Management Practitioner or equivalent. With a proactive approach to inspiring and motivating your colleagues, you will be calm under pressure, and you will be resilient when faced with setbacks. Crucially, you will have exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
