Gloucestershire Managed Service is looking for an experienced, competent and ambitious Minor Works Capital Projects Officer who will be professionally accountable for the delivery of a number of designated minor allocated Capital Projects for the Hospital we serve.

 

On 1st April 2018, Gloucestershire Managed Services was launched as the wholly owned subsidiary for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, delivering a managed estates and facilities service covering:

 

  • Domestic services/cleaning
  • Estates maintenance and capital development
  • Catering, both retail and for patient meals
  • Switchboard/contact centre
  • Sustainability/Compliance professional services
  • Medical equipment sterilisation (CSSD)
  • Portering
  • Waste management
  • Grounds & Gardens
  • Medical engineering (supply and maintenance of medical devices)
  • Security services
  • Linen and Laundry
  • Energy procurement and generation
  • Transport and logistics
  • Stores and consumable supplies
  • Procurement
  • Estates professional services

Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is seeking a proactive and experienced Minor Works Capital Project Officer who will be professionally accountable for the delivery of a number of designated minor allocated Capital Projects up to the value of £250K from conception to commissioning and post project evaluation, including the appointment and management of external contractors.

 

Plan, manage, support, facilitate and monitor progress of specific projects across sites and take the lead on GRH minor works process and delivery.

The post holder will not specifically manage staff but will be responsible for managing and supervising the activity of project teams including a wide range of clinical and support services staff, design and construction contractors as part of overall Capital project management process.

The post holder reports directly to the Deputy Director of Estates and Capital Development within the Capital Projects Department.

A flexible attitude to an ever-changing work environment will be required to succeed in this challenging post whilst you will be joining a great team of estates professionals. It is essential applicants can meet the travel requirements of the post.
