Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Project Manager

£230-£280 per day

The CSP are looking to work with an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Project Manager on a consultancy or contractor basis for a period of six months. We are currently developing an equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, informed by CSP diversity networks, members, staff and stakeholders with direct experience of, or insights into, the discrimination and disadvantage faced by members and their patients.

As the project manager for this important work, you will be responsible for bringing together all internal staff and external member facing elements of our EDI work into one coherent strategy. In order to ensure a robust approach, we are looking for someone with excellent project management skills, alongside significant knowledge of EDI issues and best practice. As a self-motivated project manager, you will have the drive to develop a comprehensive project plan, utilising your in-depth experience with project tools and methodologies.

You will need to have exceptional interpersonal skills in order to bring together relevant colleagues throughout the CSP that are working on EDI in their area. This will not only be to co-ordinate the project plan, but to gain buy in from those involved. Your communication skills will also stretch wider to ensure engagement with the whole organisation and our union representatives. This will include regular updates with our Leadership Team and CEO, requiring excellent influencing and negotiation skills.

This is a real opportunity for you to have a significant impact on the CSP at this exciting time. The project plan that you deliver will be the foundation for the CSP to raise the profile of EDI in everything that we do.

The CSP is the professional, trade union and educational body for the 59,000 chartered physiotherapists, support workers and students in the UK. We are one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.
