Your new role
You will work within the EU-GB imports project team and take on a leading role PPM role predominantly working across three teams, animal imports, plant imports and infrastructure teams but also with teams within the wider department and delivery partners outside of the department. The team require a dedicated resource that will sit in the EUGB PPM team, to lead on PPM activities responsible for the management of project governance, supporting delivery leads / teams and reporting requirements.

* Oversight of key delivery factors affecting EU-GB delivery teams, coordination of actions and escalation to relevant stakeholders.
* Coordination of reporting requirements, such as weekly reporting to the DD & Senior Responsible Officer (SRO), reports that need to be issued the Portfolio office and wider
* Coordination and oversight of EUGB team project delivery plans, including milestone planning
* Driving and shaping EU project governance.

What you'll need to succeed
First and foremost you will require Central Government Project Management experience. You will also have a broad understanding on Public Policy and how it is developed and implemented. You will require PPM, PMO and Project Management experience and have the necessarily qualifications to demonstrate this. Specifically you will:

* Be experienced and credible in dealing with a broad range of stakeholders, with excellent written skills and attention to detail required to engage with others
* Have a proactive approach, seek out opportunities to effectively engage, and be used to operating with a high degree of autonomy where there is ambiguity and change in a project.
* Have practical experience in actively managing project risks and issues, able to make decisions, engage in dialogue on risk management strategy, and demonstrate a level of skill
beyond simply 'managing a process'.
