Senior Engineering Project Manager
Linnk Group, on behalf of our client - a leading global multi-billion-dollar blue chip organisation, are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the capacity, capital planning and project execution for the continued expansion of our clients UK & EU fulfilment network.
Position: Project Manager
Sector: Supply Chain / Logistics / Fulfilment
Type: Contract (long term opportunity including opportunity for permanent transition)
Length: 6-12 months rolling
Location: Across UK & Europe (whilst on projects). Home between projects.
Start: November 2020
Successful candidate will be natural self-starters who have principle contracting background, construction management degree (or similar) and be fully capable of managing all sub-contract packages within a commercial build with strength ideally on Fit out and M&E for projects across UK & Europe.
This individual will provide leadership in managing the build specifications; pre-contract work, internal teams and vendor relations. This individual needs to be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization in order to be successful.
Conduct multiple weekly standing meetings with internal teams and vendors to plan & track deliverables.
Evaluate and optimise current working procedures, improve structure and track deliverables.
Create, submit and track the relevant Capex documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and best overall value.
Deep dive on project delivery details and lead problem resolution on a need basis.
Communicate project status, drive and elevate decision making and help requests.
Lead critical path schedule items and escalate to leadership on potential risks and delays.
Skills & Accreditations: -
Valid CSCS Certificate
Project Management methodology experience (PMP, PMI, PMBOK, Agile, ITIL or other)
Strong experience managing engineering or construction projects related to either fulfilment center, distribution/logistics or industrial buildings. B.S. or master’s degree in engineering or related discipline
Languages: English (mandatory), plus additional European language is desirable.
Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and related software.
