Project Manager

Now is a really exciting time to join us. We’re working towards our vision of everyone has a home. It’s a bold statement but one everyone across our business is passionate about.  Our purpose is to improve people’s lives. We provide safety and security through our reliable landlord services and we supply a wide range of housing options in response to the housing crisis. We believe that work isn’t somewhere you go, it’s something you do. No two days are the same here, and agile working is the norm rather than the exception.

The opportunity

Do you have great communication skills, love working to deadlines and keeping things on track?  Then we have a new Project Manager opportunity within The Project Management Office which may suit you down to the ground.

We support all areas of the business with their projects and are involved right at the start through to the end. This involves many things including meeting with key stakeholders, planning meetings, sometimes organising launches and much more.

If this has sparked your interest, read the role profile and if you feel you have the right skills, then please apply.

What you’ll be doing

Project managing Aster's Transformation projects including implementing Microsoft Dynamics and other business change projects across the group

Help with planning and delivery of projects including chairing project meetings and representation at programme board and steering group meetings

About you

  • You will have IT project management experience, preferably implementing Microsoft Dynamics
  • You will preferably have worked in social housing
  • You must have Prince2 and / or Agile Practitioner qualification(s)
  • Full driving licence and ability to travel between the Aster offices
  • Experience in managing projects remotely
  • Self motivated to work on own initiative and work as part of a team
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite and project management software
  • Communication will be a strength, the ability to influence being key to the role whilst working at all levels.

About Aster Group

We’re a not-for-dividend business established in 1990 and have over £1.7 billion worth of assets. We own and maintain over 31,000 homes, provide services to approximately 93,000 customers and employ 1,400 people. The Aster Foundation is our way of giving something back. It’s the work we choose to do over and above our landlord and development activities.

Ready to apply?

We’re passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity and believe that creating an environment where everyone, from any background, can do their best work is the right thing to do. So, do you have a ‘can do’ attitude? Are you flexible and able to fulfil the needs of our business? If you think you fit the bill and you’re ready for a new challenge we’d love to hear from you.
