An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Project Manager with a background in retail construction and redevelopment to join a reputable consultancy practice who specialise in a number of sectors.

The Role

You will be a key member of the retail team and will be responsible for the full project management cycle, from planning stage through to completion and aftercare.

You will be working with retail clients all over the UK so must be flexible in terms of travel as you will likely be working 2 days in the office and 3 days on site, sometimes in a live environment.

You will be required to look at areas of development and communicate across all levels of management to establish a brief for the projects that clearly define the objectives.

You will create and plan the timelines for delivery and manage the design team, as well as the contractors to ensure cost, time, accuracy, and quality standards are met. 

You will maintain records and work folders as well as oversee the construction work ensuring a high-quality product with limited snagging is delivered on time and to budget.             

 

The ideal Candidate

 You will have experience in a similar role, ideally with another consultancy practice and a proven history of delivering high quality projects within food retail and/or fuel stations.

You will ideally be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and hold a CSCS Card, SMSTS, First Aid and have a Full clean driving licence.

You will be able to work on your own initiative and share ideas for process improvements.

You will be confident in your ability and challenge bad practice.

You will be client focused, and an effective communicator, and be prepared to exceed customer expectations through the service you deliver.

You will be have the ability to read and understand 2D drawings and be confident and using Microsoft office software.

You will be a good problem solver, be able to prioritise workloads and be well organised with a proactive and self-motivated approach.

You will have attention to detail, commercial awareness, and a basic understanding of CDM regulations.
