The Project Manager will provide project management skills to a wide variety of projects both within Elemental and with our customers & strategic partners to deliver projects and work packages.
The prime responsibility of the Project Manager is to ensure that assigned projects produce the required work products within the specified tolerances of time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.
The successful Project Manager will have knowledge and experience of the following skills;
Excellent knowledge and application of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of IT projects from initiation through to implementation, e.g. PRINCE2, Microsoft Project, Enterprise Project Manager.
Broad experience of technology including applications, infrastructure, networks etc
Significant experience of project delivery within an IT context.
Good understanding of risk management principles and experience in their application.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Head of Implementation.
Direct responsibility for ensuring booked sales successfully transition from the point of initiation at user requirements to the customer going live and successful project sign off
Ensure clear briefing and buy-in from senior managers and ongoing “sponsorship” at that level for projects identified as strategic
Prepare and attend update meetings to COO and other senior stakeholder meetings
Control and run reporting weekly and monthly on status reporting to COO
Define different project scopes and schedules while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value within Elemental
Support the Head of Product to run regular dev priorisation meetings
Organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports (using Jira and Asana)
Perform delivery planning for assigned projects
Hold project review meetings weekly/bi-weekly (as required by the customer)
Daily communications with customer/colleagues – ensure the customer’s queries are directed to the right people if necessary
Control the budget associated with each different project and work closely with Product Owner and Finance controller to report back to COO
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
At least 2 years experience in a similar type role
Excellent knowledge and application of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of IT projects from initiation through to implementation, e.g. PRINCE2, Microsoft Project, Enterprise Project Manager.
Broad experience of technology including applications, infrastructure, networks etc
Significant experience of project delivery within an IT context.
Good understanding of risk management principles and experience in their application.
Has exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Possesses exemplary written & verbal communication skills
Adept at keeping an eye on the big picture whilst planning the detail
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Experience of working within public, community and voluntary sector partnerships
Experience of working in an Agile environment
An interest in health innovation
An understanding of population health management
