Project Manager

Bouygues Energies & Services is a global infrastructure and building services contractor and currently we have an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager from construction or engineering background with knowledge of transport projects. The role will involve leading smart highways projects across parts of the M25 and M3 junction 9 – 14. Please note this is only a fixed term contract role lasting 9 months but there may be an opportunity to join the national project delivery team on a permanent basis.

The role:

  • To ensure project delivery including robust, high quality services through management of the operational teams
  • To be responsible for contractual performance in line with approved budgets, key performance indicators, performance monitoring systems, output specifications and contractual requirements
  • To continually enforce cost efficiency initiatives, seek maximisation of financial entitlements, minimise overdue debt, negotiate settlement of contractual claims
  • To effectively manage supply chain to the Project
  • To build and maintain partnership relationships with the client on each contract
  • To ensure Company and legislative requirements are met, including Health & Safety and CDM Regulations

The person:

  • In depth knowledge of motorway communications and lighting systems is essential
  • Proficient in planning, sequencing and programming works
  • Qualified at HNC level (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal with client, supply chain and employees
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to multi-task
  • Good commercial awareness and knowledge of NEC3 form of contract
  • Flexible approach to working, with the ability to adapt to change where required
  • Full driving licence
