Our clients are a specialist consultancy in the Renewable Energy and Greentech sector.

They are looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager with a passion for the low carbon sector to help deliver some of the UK’s most high-profile renewable energy and Greentech projects.

The service they provide to their clients is end-to-end, meaning you will be involved from inception and feasibility through to procurement, project managing and signing off a fully operating renewable energy / Greentech project.

Responsibilities

Project Management

• To lead Project Management appointments, taking responsibility for end to end service delivery.
• To support colleagues on Project Management appointments, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery.
• To ensure that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets
• Communicating with stakeholders on the progress of projects at all stages
• Managing large teams of internal and external stakeholders
• Moving the project safely and quickly through the process

Consultancy

• Understanding (and occasionally shaping) a client brief, Identifying practical, commercial solutions
• Analysing the client’s usage of energy
• Planning and delivering bespoke consultancy projects
• Preparing site based or desktop feasibility studies for clients
• Presenting results to clients and recommending options for delivering identified projects

Client liaison

• Overseeing and being responsible for the client experience during project delivery
• Presenting results to clients and recommending options for delivering identified projects
• Reporting regularly to the client to update them on ongoing processes and recommend the best technical solutions
• Managing ‘whole’ client relationships across
• Managing all internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Degree in engineering or project management subject
• Relevant professional qualification with the APM or Prince 2
• Minimum 12 months’ experience as a professional project manager, preferably within renewables, construction or infrastructure projects.
• MS Project software experience.
• Recognised project management qualifications / training.
• Project management experience across a range of disciplines, contract/procurement
• Experience of JCT contracts and their practical application
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Strong excel skills / AutoCAD (ideally)
• UK driving license
• Passionate about renewable energy and the low carbon world
• Communicators (internal and external)
• Understanding of risk and how to manage it.
• Commercially aware
