As a Strategic Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of complex, large-scale change initiatives, working in collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders across the university. The areas of focus will change and develop as initiatives are implemented and new priorities are established within the context of the strategic plan. However, there will be a significant emphasis on the development and implementation of initiatives which deliver transformational change. These priority areas will require careful coordination and planning across a number of activities.
The University is developing its academic portfolio and delivery methods to ensure that it is relevant, efficient, accessible and attractive to local, regional, national and international markets. It is also looking to develop ways of working and to structure its business models to provide greater flexibility in how it supports its diverse and variable income streams.
You will have demonstrable knowledge of building strong relationships with senior and operational stakeholders and be experienced in tailoring a structured project management approach to the needs of the organisation. The role requires extensive experience of translating changes in policy direction into practical action including use of new technologies in improving services and modernising working processes.
You will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and the Deputy Chief Operating Officer to translate strategy into plans. Therefore, acting as a key liaison point between the Vice Chancellor’s Executive, and other members of the Vice Chancellor’s Directors Group.
