A Local Authority based in North East London is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Project Manager to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have extensive experience in Mechanical/Electrical Projects, full qualifications and ideally experience in a similar local authority setting.

The main purpose of the role is to organise and manage the detailed review of the service regimes across the full range of M&E plant and equipment within a defined number of client properties. The successful candidate will be utilising their extensive knowledge of building services to devise effective maintenance regimes in line with the client's plans, along with a full review of all existing documents against this bench mark.

The main additional responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

To provide a detailed tracking document of current maintenance regimes with recommendations for areas of improvement bespoke to the systems onsite to meet Statutory obligations and improve life cycles of plant and systems across the allocated property portfolio
The role requires a broad based knowledge of all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical systems from Gas Fired boiler systems, Large Ventilation plant, Fire Alarm systems, Emergency lighting, Lifts, Automatic Air Vents, Fall arrests systems through to refrigeration and Air conditioning.
The role is to carry out site surveys across a large number of education properties establishing a maintenance and compliance list for all building service items that would be expected to be manage under a "Hard FM" remit.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Full Mechanical/Electrical Qualifications
Extensive Project Management Experience
The post holder will be suitably technically qualified and experienced to review all existing technical service documents available against the plant and systems on site and comment on suitability, accuracy and quality of documents with recommendations of any technical actions to be implemented.
The Engineer will be expected to create M&E service regimes for the specific plant to maximise its life cycle whilst controlling costs and create a suitable program of all other relevant inspections to ensure compliance with legislation for all other items under the "Hard FM" remit.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering a rate of £280 p/day Umbrella Ltd. (Approx. £870 p/week NET take home pay per week after all deductions).
