Our client, an award winning architecture practice, are recruiting for a Project Landscape Architect, based in Westerham in Kent.  You will be working directly with the Head of Landscape and senior management teams on the design and development of projects from concept stage through to completion, and input/assist in developing the Landscape business and portfolio.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and deliver Landscape projects from concept through to completion (for all work stages on both D&B and traditional contracts)

  • Prepare concept design sketches and develop design/detail utilising CAD Software/ArchiCAD in BIM.

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management and administration of Landscape projects.

  • Communicate and engage with the multidisciplinary team, clients and external consultants.

  • Prepare all drawn information, specifications and schedules associated with typical Landscape Architecture services.

  • Develop deliverables schedules and design programmes.

  • Co-ordinate the production of visualisations and animations using CAD/3D model with the team.

  • Production of reports and any other documents necessary for projects.

  • Attend and report at Design Team meetings and co-ordinate meetings and workshops.

  • Attend client/stakeholder meetings to present designs and reports.

  • Ensure the landscape design is kept within the client’s set budget and on programme.

  • Assist with the compilation of bids, tenders and competitions.

  • Attend interviews and meetings with new and existing clients as necessary.

ABOUT YOU

The role will suit an experienced Landscape Architect with minimum of four years’ post-Chartership (or similar) experience who is looking to develop their career within a growing business.  Demonstrable skills in leading and delivering complex schemes of varying scale, with a good level of technical design competency and proficiency with CAD, the candidate must also have a good level of graphical talent (using both hand drawn and Adobe Software) and sound knowledge of the UK standards and planning system.

Our client is at the leading edge of BIM, using Archicad and 3D modelling as our CAD authoring software and though previous experience of BIM and Archicad is not necessary, a commitment to learn these is essential and training will be provided.

The role is based in Westerham, Kent, and the successful candidate ideally needs to be able to get to the practice by car, as local public transport links are not very good.  You may also be required to travel occasionally to our studios in London, Sheffield and Birmingham for training and meetings.

A competitive salary, negotiable based on experience, excellent benefits package including 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, private healthcare, pension, critical illness cover and life assurance
