- Project Manager
The Project Site Manager is responsible for managing the Bower facility and on-site manufacturing and test operations and ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety procedures and legislation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
EHSS
- Management of Environmental, Health, Safety and Security issues in all production areas
- Management of waste arising from production activities
- Promote adherence to JFN's Health and Safety Policy
- Reporting near misses and accidents
- Conducting point of work risk assessments and method statements
Manufacturing / Rig Hall Management
Financial oversight of production activities including annual budgets, cost control,profitability analysis, etc.
- Responsible for house-keeping and condition of manufacturing areas, liaising where applicable with Facilities Engineers
- Responsible for planning rig hall activities
- Ensure manufacturing issues are resolved efficiently and effectively
- Liaising with project teams as required
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the facility and manufacturing equipment
- Responsible for Line Management & Employee Development
- Deliver internal training (e.g. tool-box-talks and on the job training)
- Identify training needs, developing, communicating and supporting training
- Assist in delivering company communications
- Staff recruitment and development
- Conducting staff performance appraisals
Manufacturing Productivity, Quality & Improvement
- Champion JFN's manufacturing procedures and promote compliance amongst the manufacturing employees to maintain consistency and quality of manufactured items
- Responsible for ensuring good engagement between internal design and in-house manufacture at all stages of the bid/project lifecycle
- Introduction and implementation of continuous improvement activities and methods, providing leadership in manufacturing
- Oversight to ensure that the project is manufactured to the specification and delivered to the customer on time and within budget
- Ensuring JFN processes and procedures are followed to maintain consistency and quality of work

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Has previously been accountable for management of a manufacturing or maintenance facility or similar operation in a highly regulated industry
- Financial / budgetary experience
- Experience of leading continual improvement and change methodologies
- Good knowledge of quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001
- Good knowledge of EH&S processes including ISO 14001 and 18001
- Excellent organisational, time management and decision making skills
- Excellent people skills, especially in supporting and motivating staff and in developing the abilities of others
- Commercially and delivery-focused
- High level written and oral communication skills
- HND / Higher Apprenticeship in a related discipline
