We are seeking an outstanding leader for the role of Director of Nuclear Finance and Programmes within the Defence Nuclear Organisation in the Ministry of Defence (MOD).

This is a new role, part of the Defence Nuclear Enterprise Board, the most senior MOD board dealing with nuclear matters, and responsible for oversight of the nuclear programme (approximately £4 billion per annum).This is a critical role, providing strategic advice on finance, enterprise planning and performance and commercial matters to the Director General Nuclear and other senior MOD officials.

The appointee will be the Senior Finance Officer for the Defence Nuclear Organisation and will lead a Directorate of circa 100. We are looking for a highly skilled Finance and Programme Director with substantial experience of major public programmes for this key leadership role. The successful candidate will work across the programme delivery, financial and commercial spectra, with excellent inclusive leadership and collaborative relationship building ability to add value widely at a strategic level. Candidates should hold a CCAB or equivalent professional finance qualification.
