Project Controls Graduate Scheme

The search for LogiKal’s next generation of Project Planning & Controls Consultants has begun! Join a talented and supportive team of professionals, complete first-class training and help the largest engineering and construction projects in the UK succeed. 

Positions are available in both our London & Birmingham teams, but please keep in mind that travel to client locations outside of your selected city may be required from time to time. For the travellers amongst you, there may even be future opportunities to join our Australia and Hong Kong teams.

What is LogiKal…and what are Project Controls?

LogiKal is an international consultancy that specialises in providing Project Planning & Controls services to clients. Proudly awarded Project Controls Consultancy of the Year 2020, we play an integral part in the successful delivery of projects across a range of sectors in the construction industry including rail, defence, water and residential. Since being established in 2002, our team has grown to over 100 consultants across 6 offices in the UK, Australia and Hong Kong.

If by now you are still wondering what is meant by ‘Project Controls’, then don’t worry! Put simply, they are the analytical processes used to manage project time and cost, enabling informed decision-making, and ultimately project success.

We don’t require any prior knowledge or experience, as our experts will teach you the technical bits. We are looking for graduates with a keen interest in improving the delivery of major projects and excellent communication skills (the most important thing for any consultant).

• An analytical mind & methodical approach to problem solving

• Self-starter attitude with an eagerness to take on responsibility & jump in headfirst
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work both as part of a team & independently
• Time management – client teams will rely on you to meet deadlines 
• A 2:1 degree (no need to be an engineer or mathematician - all disciplines welcome)

Stage 1 – Online Application: CV and Cover Letter

Please keep your cover letter brief and don’t worry about the formalities – let your personality shine through! 

Stage 2 – Video Interview (recorded in your own time) 

Bring your application to life – a great opportunity for you to demonstrate your communication skills and interest in LogiKal. 

Stage 3 – 1:1 Interview

Meet our internal recruiter for a conversation about your strengths, experiences and future ambitions. This is your chance to stand out from other candidates and bag a place at one of our open days.  

Stage 4 – Open Day (mid-August)

These will consist of a group exercise, some short tests and a final interview at our London HQ. You’ll also get to meet the LogiKal team and question our current graduates about their experience. These days are as much for you to find out about LogiKal as they are for us to find out about you. 

Open days will take place the  w/c 16th August 2021 and you must be able to attend one of these days to be considered for our 2021/22 cohort. As much as we have enjoyed the virtual world over the past year, we are ready to meet you all in person! 

The 2021 scheme will begin in September, kicking off with a 5-week induction and training course at our London Office. Accommodation for Birmingham graduates will be provided during this period.
