Facilities Management & Projects Lead
Do you have a wealth of experience delivering Facilities Management Projects? If so, this role could be right for you.
What you’ll be doing
You will be responsible for the delivery of complex projects across the Aster managed workspaces, including building disposals, acquisitions, and refurbishments, so your experience to date will give you the exemplary skills you need for success. We operate across the South West of England and our workspaces include offices, operational units and yards, which all need to be familiar to you.
Alongside this you will be leading the Facilities Team taking responsibility for operational and compliance outputs focussing on hard services, so confidence in your leadership skills will be key, and you’ll be happy to engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure the right outcomes. ‘Safety First’ will be the culture that you adhere to, keeping this at the forefront of everything you achieve.
You’ll be experienced in budget management, evidencing value for money as one of your key drivers.
You will be someone who has worked in the Facilities industry for years. Your knowledge and experience would have been gained through education and your career to date. You will hold an IWFM or RICS qualification in Corporate Real Estate and Facilities Management and will be a current member of IWFM.
You will be able to demonstrate a wealth of experience in building disposals and acquisitions and will have the skills to take this through from end to end. Your leadership experience will be with multi-skilled teams and you’ll be able to collaborate and influence at all levels.
This is a big role and requires someone with great depth of knowledge to really succeed.

About Aster Group
Now is a really exciting time to join us. We’re working towards our vision of everyone has a home. It’s a bold statement but one everyone across our business is passionate about. Our purpose is to improve people’s lives. We provide safety and security through our reliable landlord services and we supply a wide range of housing options in response to the housing crisis. We believe that work isn’t somewhere you go, it’s something you do. No two days are the same here, and agile working is the norm rather than the exception.
We’re on an exciting transformation journey.
Our business strategy is clear. Our vision is bold. And what sets us apart is The Aster Way.
The Aster Way is not just a set of words. It’s a shared understanding of the way we work – creating a fair and inclusive culture. It’s a set of straightforward principles that underpin everything we do, every day. From how we lead and learn, to how we collaborate, communicate and innovate, this is how we’ll reach our vision - that everyone has a home.
At Aster, we have a customer first culture, with customers at the heart of everything we do, so we expect all our colleagues to be motivated and inspired to deliver a positive customer experience.
We’re a not-for-dividend business established in 1990 and have over £1.6 billion worth of assets. We own and maintain over 30,000 homes, provide services to approximately 90,000 customers and employ 1,300 people. The Aster Foundation is our way of giving something back. It’s the work we choose to do over and above our landlord and development activities.
