Development Programme Manager

2 Year Fixed Term contract

Consumers of immigration advice and services are often among the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society. That is why the work at the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) is so critical as the non-government body that regulates the provision of immigration advice and services, ensuring they meet stringent professional standards.

We have an ambitious and wide-ranging transformation programme underway dedicated to putting the Advice Seeker at the heart of all our work.  Building on the existing OISC Development Programme, your key objectives will be to design, deliver and manage the programme of change that enables our organisation to adopt its new model of regional/national working in 2022. To execute our agenda, you will be required to design and orchestrate a suite of project and programme management procedures which will identify and proactively manage key risks, issues and dependencies to ensure cross-functional alignment of our organisational goals. Owning and communicating the vision of the Development Programme, providing clear leadership along with addressing the evolving needs and emerging issues that could impact the organisation will be essential to its success.

Reporting to, and working closely with our Commissioner, John Tuckett and the Programme Board, you must be an excellent communicator and have the confidence and credibility to work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.  Demonstrable experience working within a small/medium sized organisation, developing new and successful ways of working combined with a willingness to take a hands-on approach to the role is essential.   You must be comfortable working in a fluid and often ambiguous environment and possess the insight to be able to handle complex, sensitive situations in a calm and focused way.
