Our Opportunity

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join Thales Urban Rail Signalling (URS) to work on the delivery of the 4LM project, as part of Thales Ground Transportation Systems.

This is a truly demanding and interesting role where you will gain significant exposure across the 4LM project and where you will be responsible for supporting the project management team to ensure successful delivery of the projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and project efficiency

You will be working with senior members of the Project Management Community, Project Teams, Bid Managers, Capture Leads, Programme Management Office, other Thales business functions including Health and Safety, Technical, Finance, Commercial, Legal, Quality as well as external stakeholders

About You

You will have experience of supporting the delivery of successful projects in support of Project Management Teams and have a good understanding of the full business lifecycle management, including capture, qualification and winning strategies together with an understanding of generic processes and techniques used to schedule project activities (for example; WBS, OBS, milestones, dependencies, EVM).

You will have experience of the Project Management process (including Change Control, Risk Management and Information Management) as well as knowledge of the project life cycle for complex projects through delivery of Development, Implementation, Closure and Support activity.

You will demonstrate strong negotiation, presentation and report writing skills with proven experience of building strong relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders together with having excellent organisational, managerial and team working skills.

You will have a positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.

What we can offer:

Working Hours:

You will be contracted to 37 hours per week; core hours Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00. We will always consider flexible hours and working arrangements.
