A Project Manager is required by our client to integrate a new carrier into the operations- (a tender process is taking place). You must have extensive experience/understanding of logistics/supply chain and automated warehouse management systems. The role will require working closely with IT and logistics to ensure smooth operations across to a new distribution centre.

Job Purpose:

-To project manage & support the integration and implementation of a new transportation providers

-This role will take the project from contract award through to contract implementation completion

-Integration co-ordination across multiple platforms Legacy and new

-Testing

-Final implementation and go live monitoring & post implementation activities providing a successful service transition minimising customer impact.

-Responsible for the preparation and management of the day-to-day project activities operations and systems to successfully implement a series of deployments to implement a new carrier into the multiple sites & systems.

-Design through to delivery and deployment activities, live service transition to BAU.

-Reporting to the General Manager of Resources Operations, alongside implementation partners.

Key Experience:

-Preferable knowledge of ASRS/automated warehouse system/logistics sorting systems

-Experience within 3rd Party logistics/distribution

-Good understanding/knowledge of logistics, supply chain and warehouse management

-Good understanding of IT and Technology

-Good Project Management experience (PRINCE2 desirable but not essential)

-Ability to establish a clear view of what will change and why.

-Experience of design principles and business outcome priorities

-Experienced of working closely with workstream leads, third parties and suppliers.

-Ability and experienced to develop end-to-end business processes.
