Here at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), we work on things that make a real difference to people’s lives. Whether it's through the homes we live in, the work of our local councils, or the communities we are all a part of, our work is at the top of the political agenda.
We are looking to recruit project leads (grade 7 level) to be appointed to a number of priority roles across the department. The roles will be challenging and varied which could see you managing projects or programmes in any area of MHCLG’s policy portfolio, from housing and planning to local growth to building safety and net zero.
What we are looking for
Individuals who can use their experience of effective delivery, applying appropriate techniques where necessary, to drive forward change.
Responsive, adaptable and motivational leaders that are comfortable working with changing priorities, situations and deadlines at pace.
A strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture, think laterally, and find ways to meaningfully push an agenda forward.
Excellent influencers, who can establish and build relationships quickly to deliver across teams and organisational boundaries to deliver the departments priorities.
Expert communicators with the ability to influence and shift stubborn views, and clearly and concisely articulate highly complex issues.
Individuals who are passionate about building capability in their teams and developing others
Finally, we are looking for people who share our values in MHCLG and want to make a real difference in an inclusive, collaborative and inspiring department. If you are interested in public services and excited about supporting communities and creating great places to live and work, we want you to join us. At MHCLG, we are for everyone.
