Towards a fairer Islington.

We are determined to make Islington fairer. To create a place where everyone, whatever their background, has the opportunity to reach their potential and enjoy a good quality of life. We also have an ambitious goal – to be the best council in the country – with every employee clear about the part they play and inspired, focused, and supported to give their very best.

Project Manager, Business Growth & Delivery | £42,609 - £45,594

As our new Project Manager for Business Growth and Delivery within the Affordable Workspace programme, you will develop and drive forward a broad programme of activities to provide affordable workspace to businesses that are rooted in Islington, putting local people at the heart of our economy.

You will lead on the sustainable growth of our network of affordable workspaces by identifying new opportunities and effectively delivering them. You will develop new internal and external partnerships to support this up to handing over our spaces to local businesses.

This is an exciting programme, and you will join us in breaking new ground on this approach to affordable workspace and push the boundaries of what is possible to ensure our economy works for all residents and local businesses, one where everyone can thrive, no matter where you come from.

We are looking for an experienced project manager to lead this programme who has experience of working collaboratively across multi-function teams, successfully delivering in a complex environment.

You should be comfortable developing and applying commercial approaches and principles to service delivery and projects, with demonstrable experience of building innovative and alternative delivery models as the needs of the programme and its customers change. You will be able to use both business and financial planning techniques to adapt and develop the programme.

You will be comfortable working with a broad range of stakeholders, both internally and externally, be that elected members, senior officers, residents, businesses, or community groups.
