Your new company
We're delighted to be supporting a local authority in Norfolk to recruit to 2 key positions following them winning a Towns’ Fund bid which represents capital investment in excess of £25 million. This funding will deliver transformational economic regeneration and growth to the area with the funds covering 8 projects delivering against their vision to improve the local economy and maximise their potential and opportunity.

We are looking for a Programme Manager and a Project Manager for 2-3 projects. You’ll both be instrumental in developing our modern, digital, socially inclusive and sustainable city economy and building on the success of our tech cluster, knowledge-based sectors and creative ecosystem.

Your new role
The new project team will have responsibility for the co-ordination of a package of key regeneration and development projects contained within the Town Investment Plan (TIP) and funded by the government's Towns' Fund. The post holder will take a key role in the development, monitoring, control and delivery of the TIP, including reporting against individual project delivery, producing committee reports and liaising with key stakeholders both inside and outside of the council.

The current work is focused on managing, directing, monitoring, reporting and ultimately bringing forward the delivery of the Town Investment Plan through the development of strategic plans and management of the individual projects and funding.

What you'll need to succeed
As the Programme Manager, you will have considerable professional experience of capital build projects in addition to operational project management experience. We are relying on you to develop, monitor, control and deliver the overall programme; producing reports and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders.

As the Project Manager, you may already be an experienced surveyor, architect or other construction professional ready to jump straight in. The team also have a track record of developing talent, so we’d be happy to hear from you if you have some construction project management expertise but are looking for the next step up.

What you'll get in return
The organisation will consider someone on either an hourly/day rate or a fixed term contract, initially through to March 2023. The salary will be up between £41,000- £44,000 for the Project Manager or between £49,500 to £54,000 for the Programme Manager. If you're employed directly by the council you'll have access to a range of flexible benefits and local government pension scheme as well.
