This position will see you play a key role in the conversion of an existing industrial or warehouse building into a Covid testing laboratory. You will be involved in all stages of the project from finding and securing an appropriate site to contracting and managing a 3rd party construction company.
Assisting with the researching and selection of appropriate sites
Assisting with any contracting of the sites
Planning layouts for both operational and support functions.
Planning infrastructure and building fit-out requirements (including utilities, air-handling, HVAC, lighting, flooring, partitioning etc).
Budgeting and cost estimation.
Supplier selection and contracting.
Management of any contractors including architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, building contractors and other specialist trades
Project execution and associated project management
Identification and management of project risks.
The successful candidate
Strong construction project management experience
Experience in managing and delivering complex construction projects
Practical experience of all of the responsibilities of this role from layouts and supplier engagement to project planning and risk management.
Practical experience in actively managing project risks and issues.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and significant experience of applying them in practice
