Role: Strategy Programme Manager

Salary: £72,000 per annum (3 year FTC)

Location: Home based

United Response is currently looking for an experienced Programme Manager to help drive forward the organisations strategy over the next three years. The role of Strategy Programme Manager

As the Strategy Programme Manager at United Response you would oversee the multitude of projects and ensure that all deliver on their key objectives within agreed timescales and on budget. You will have a busy role that involves:

  • Proactively planning and designing the agreed programme of work
  • Define the programme’s governance framework
  • Managing the programme budget on behalf of the Programme Board
  • Liaising with and holding accountable third party partners
  • Communicating with and reporting to senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Supporting business change managers with releases and deployments
  • Providing post transition support to managers and the organisation
  • Ensuring that any gaps in the programme of work are identified and remedied

The requirements of the Strategy Programme Manager

United Response’s strategic plan is a wide ranging and comprehensive programme of work that will encompass all parts of the organisation so it’s vital that you are able to manage a busy workload and drive work forward. To be considered for the role of Strategy Programme Manager you must:

  • Be comfortable with providing structure and strategic direction
  • Have extensive experience of overseeing multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess the ability to forge strong working relationships both internally and externally
  • Be willing to give firm put diplomatic direction when required
  • Demonstrate strong technical project manager skills
  • Show the ability to coach and mentor colleagues in problem solving and finding solutions
  • Hold recognised programme and change management qualifications
  • Be willing to travel to different United Response offices as required

Any previous experience of working within the voluntary or social care sector would be beneficial but is not compulsory. If you can marry the skills and experience mentioned above, United Response would love to hear from you!
