Leading Edinburgh Based Main Contractor seeks Senior Project Manager to join their team.


Your new company

Our client are a leading Edinburgh based contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex interesting projects across leisure and hotels , retail and mixed commercial market sectors. With a healthy and sustainable pipeline of work across their core sectors they are seeking to add an experienced construction Senior Project Manager to join their business.


Your new role
As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for delivering building and construction projects up to £30million. As Project Manager you will be directly responsible for the success of your project. Core activities will include the motivation and engagement of your experienced team of site managers ,engineers and direct labour aswell as developing and managing a positive and long term relationship with your client. Experience on complex refurbishments and new builds within institutional environments and their associated contracts would be highly desirable.


What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be from a main contractor background . You will have a degree in construction management or similar or have come up through the ranks as site manager. It is essential you are contractually aware and understand complex construction contracts and how to ensure our clients commercial interest is protected on your project. The successful candidate will be a natural leader and will understand how to build positive relationships with key project stakeholders such as your team , external design consultancies and other external parties.
