The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) is looking for a highly motivated Risk Manager to join its busy Portfolio Office on a secondment or fixed term contract. The Portfolio Office currently has several national change programmes in flight delivering improvement products and guidance to the UK fire and rescue service.

The Risk (RAID) Manager will be responsible for:                                   

  • Managing all NFCC Portfolio RAID matters which includes identifying, managing and creating action plans to reduce or mitigate their impact. 
  • Development of colleagues’ knowledge and understanding in these areas which will contribute to the success of the portfolios’ programmes and projects. 
  • Responsible for the Risk Management Framework, its implementation into all project environments and for its review.  

In this role, you should be highly perceptive and methodical, have the ability to communicate effectively and present your plans in a convincing way.  

Ultimately, you will ensure that our company maintains its reputation and protects its investments by controlling risk.
