Project Manager

Randstad CPE is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to work in London and the surrounding regions on multidisciplinary major projects - primarily within a civils and utilities environment. Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary and package, as well as joining a warm culture that invites growth and development.


The successful candidate will have previous experience managing projects within a similar capacity on civils and utilities..Your role will include managing construction projects, acting as the key day to day client interface, ensuring objectives are met and project delivered to time and cost targets ensuring appropriate health, safety, environmental and quality standards are met. The role is London based but may also involve travel to the Home Counties, so a driving licence is required.

Roles and Responsibilities
Carry out site visits to ensure that the construction is completed in a safe manner
Checking on site with the contractor that materials delivered to site are compliant with the approved material
Manage method statements, inspection and test plans and ensure that all test sheets are completed and recorded
Attend regular design meetings, quality meetings and interface meetings with the client
Liaise with the Principal Contractor and other trades to co-ordinate work programmes
Assist with all commercial aspects and monitor contract costs
Understanding of Engineering Principles
Knowledge and understanding of construction contact law and forms of contract (NEC with options and ICE 7th) through experience and formal training,

Candidate Requirements
The candidate must have the following;
 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
  • Confined Spaces - High Risk (Desirable)
  • Appointed Persons - Lifting (Desirable)
  • Driving License
