Technical Project Manager needed in North London paying £360.37 per day PAYE ref: 498762

This role is full time on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and safe execution of the SharePoint Online migration project, engaging with stakeholders and actively participating in all phases of the project
  • Manage the change control procedure and ensure that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gain agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors and other stakeholders as appropriate
  • Prepare and maintain realistic project schedules (showing tasks and dependencies) and track activities against them, providing regular and accurate reports to the Portfolio Office, sponsors or senior management as appropriate.
  • Take responsibility for the creation of business readiness / go live plans, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment
  • Determine the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncover readiness gaps and create and implement (or hand over to the business where appropriate) action plans to close the gaps prior to go-live.
  • Monitor and account for expenditure and make early identification of where costs may exceed planned budget and provide timely reports, ensuring that all financial targets can be met.
  • Identify risks, coordinate risk assessment, manage agreed actions (which may involve acceptance of risk, risk reduction or mitigations to avoid / eliminate risks), and monitor the status of risks on an ongoing basis.
  • The ideal candidate will have managed several SharePoint migrations and will be competent not only in SharePoint Online but have good understanding and experience of Microsoft 365 technologies as these will also be used e.g. Microsoft/Azure Information Protection and Microsoft Rights Management System.
