About this role

You will be part of the Propositions and Go to Market team within Data & AI Solutions, focused on designing, developing and delivering game changing, innovative products for both consumers and businesses, that are underpinned by AI. An example of a product the team recently released is the Digital Marketing Hub – a unique new digital advertising platform designed to help SMEs.

You will be responsible for managing large-scale, high-visibillity innovation projects, from the initial insights through to successfully managing a product roadmap in-life. We’re looking for an experienced and driven agile project manager, who will help us to accelerate our delivery velocity across a multi-functional team of c100, including product, finance, engineering, architecture, marketing and legal.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

  • Supporting project teams during every stage of the development process, from project planning/set-up/sign off and proposition development through to product delivery
  • Creating and delivering on technical project work plans, revising them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Managing progress of technical projects, ensuring team workflows are communicated and well-understood by different team members
  • Managing the project team to meet key project milestones and resolving issues to unblock the project
  • Managing stakeholders from across the whole of the BT Business, in the UK and internationally, primarily 3rs party partners, technology and relevant stakeholders – e.g. legal, finance, security and marketing
  • Managing risks and mitigations and keeping an appropriate record
  • Establishing and evaluating Key Performance Indicators
  • Monitoring quality assurance and ensuring testing is managed effectively
  • Ensuring that customer feedback is at the heart of product development

You'll have the following skills & experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience of managing and delivering technology  and data programmes.
  • Experience managing complex projects in large organisations using project management tools (preference for Jira).
  • Experience leading multi-functional teams, including software engineers
  • Experience running projects using an agile methodology and/or human-centred design thinking.  Agile and scrum master certified.
  • Proficiency with commonly used project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira and others.
  • Experience presenting complex subject matter to a range of different audiences, including C suite
  • A good understanding of data products and services.
