We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project manager, based in Manchester, York or remote working. This is a inside contract position working within the Rail industry.

PLease find below, what the client is looking for;

· Minimum of 7 years of relevant Project and/or Programme Management experience

· Suitably qualified and/or on track to obtain suitable qualification in their profession (degree and/or professional qualified to the suited Chartered Body);

· Strong problem-solving expertise, with the ability to draw on and apply lessons learned from other operating environment, to support strategic development

· Has held responsibility for ensuring successful delivery of a project in a similar operating environment to Network Rail and/or has contributed to the successful delivery of a complex programme

· Responsible for managing small teams and own output to meet programme and/or project objectives

· Strong personal qualities demonstrable through their daily actions and engagement with individuals

· Strong relationship management with client peers’ High-quality output for the programme and/or project s/he is responsible for

· The duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager are anticipated as, but not limited to the following:

- Responsibility for and delivery of the individual Commissions to programme and budget
- Project management of the Commissions in terms of quality, programme, resourcing, variations, safety, and functionality. Undertake audit role within each commission
- Definition of the technical and project deliverables
- Identification, analysis and management of project risks
- Formulation, management and tracking of the project plan and budget, together with necessary project reporting
