We currently require the services of a project manager to work for a well respected client in Buckinghamshire on a permanent basis

Infrastructure Project Manager
Permanent
Hybrid/Flexable working (1/2 days a week on site)
£70k + Benefits
SC Required (Must already have SC Clearance or be able to qualify for the checks)

Experience required: (Please provide examples of the bolded with your CV)

  • Experience involved either in the direct management of projects and/or general management responsibilities with direct project/portfolio delivery accountabilities
  • A strong track record of successful project delivery and benefits realisation - budget c. €1-3M p.a.
  • Experience of delivering Infrastructure / Workplace projects with the following technologies: Wintel, SQL, Cloud, SAP, VMware, Cisco, Microsoft
  • Strong experience of O365 migration and infrastructure
  • Educated to degree level or possess an industry-recognised project / programme management qualification (PMP/PRINCE2).
  • Experienced in project/programme management techniques
  • Broad functional knowledge of current IT technologies, strategies and methodologies

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure IT projects are delivered to time cost and quality (both IT led projects and IT sub-projects of Business / operational projects)
  • Work with the local site teams to ensure the smooth delivery of any global projects or programmes with site impacts
  • Ensure management have proper visibility of projects status and performance of the project portfolio
  • Ensure adherence the IT project delivery process; that project gates are consistently applied and project milestones are achieved
  • Ensure that projects are estimated and priced in a consistent manner and provide value to the business
  • Ensure that projects incorporate appropriate design control and verification elements
  • Ensure that the appropriate projects documentation is created and stored in the appropriate repository
  • Identifying, assessing and managing dependencies, risks and issues
  • Provide support to project prioritisation, start-up and initiation activities as required
  • Act as an internal project management subject matter expert providing an ad hoc quality assurance function for projects
  • Support the leadership of the IT management team
  • Support the Project Demand Manager to ensure that projects are added, maintained and removed from the IT Projects Pipeline in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Support the Service Delivery Manager(s) in ensuring effective transition of project outputs into Operational (BAU) support consistent manner
