£52,500 - £57,500 (plus great benefits)
Filton, Bristol
Full-time, part-time, flexible working and job share opportunities are available

We’re looking for senior Project Managers to help deliver our vitally important work. If you’ve got big aspirations, our organisation will provide the tools to help you learn, grow and achieve extraordinary things. That’s why we say, your ambition leads here.

About us

DE&S is an integral part of UK Defence. We equip and support the UK’s armed forces as they protect life at home and overseas. As part of this, we create smarter tech for intelligence systems. We procure the newest protective clothing for the frontline. And we make safer, more effective vehicles for land, sea and air. In our Project Delivery function, our teams are working together to ensure the UK Armed Forces have what they need to do their best - and we’re looking for more talented Project Managers to join us in a range of dynamic roles across our organisation, as well as at our sister organisation, the Submarine Delivery Agency, too.

About the role

As a senior Project Manager, you’ll lead and develop multidisciplinary teams at the forefront of cutting-edge project delivery. From developing business cases and delivery plans, to meeting customers and engaging stakeholders, you’ll be invested at every step. Accountable cost-effective and efficient delivery, you’ll support an open and honest, no blame culture. You’ll contribute to the continual improvement of your team, supporting their learning and development. With access to mentoring and funding for industry-recognised qualifications, you’ll also find everything you need to achieve your career goals.

About you

To be successful in your application, it’s important that you demonstrate experience of leadership and people management. Ideally, this includes multidisciplinary teams. You’ll have a proven track record in project delivery, and in achieving outputs and outcomes. In addition, we want to see that you have experience of stakeholder engagement and building positive working relationships. It’s also essential that you can make decisions, solve problems, and find solutions. You’re resilient in a changing environment, bringing a positive can-do attitude to everything you do.

The benefits

When you join us, you’ll enjoy a generous employer pension contribution of around 27%. You’ll benefit from a clear career path with plenty of opportunities for progression. As well as access to specialist training and funded professional qualifications, you can expect plenty of support from colleagues and mentors. And you’ll be welcome to join a wide range of employee networks, including the Women’s Inclusive Network, Race & Culture Network, Pride Network, Disability Network, and more. We recognise that the best people for the job may have commitments outside of work, so we’re pleased to promote flexible working to support our colleagues in balancing work and home life.
