Our reward package
As our PMO Configuration Manager , your starting salary will be £30932.00 and you will have opportunities to progress to £33925.00 over time. New joiners to the Met Office will start on the salary band minima.
Your total reward package is potentially worth up to £43,045 annually, which includes basic salary, potential corporate bonus and employer pension contributions.

Job Purpose
This role will play an essential role in defining and supporting sound knowledge and information management practices across the Met Office programmes directorate. Sat within the newly established Programme Management Office (PMO), this supports the delivery of our strategic objectives, growing our capabilities and promoting our values to encourage a knowledge sharing culture.
This role is critical to providing KIM services to Met office project deliovery, providing comprehensive through noticing, sourcing, synthesising and curating information that grows our organisational knowledge sharing capability, showcasing expertise and making best use of our enterprise collaboration tools.
You will work alongside leaders and subject matter experts to ensure easy access to authoritative content as well as guidance, insights and related content to inspire as well as inform. You will provide and maintain a suite of quality resources and learning assets so that people can consume content in a way that enables optimal working and reflects the depth and breadth of expertise in and outside the organisation.
You will bring a professional, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to your work, raising the profile of the PMO and the KIM function through engagement and training and advisory services, translating your expertise into improvements resulting in the growth of KIM capabilities across the organisation.
