Building services Project Manager required to head up renovation works for a housing association ( 4 months )
Your new company
Working with a medium sized housing association based in Selkirk - you will play a key role of the planning and execution of renovations, upgrades and various small projects across the organisation. This role is for a confident individual with a background in project management to lead a team over a 4 to 6 month period.
Your new role
Your new role will be to assist on the delivery of new build development and refurbishment projects in line with the Association's agreed Strategies and the Strategic & Business Plan.
Manage on site projects and ensure completion of allocated projects on time, within budget, to agreed specifications and standards and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
Engage with Scottish Borders Council and Scottish Government in relation to strategic investment in new build housing. Assist in preparing submissions for development projects in Local Authority Strategic Housing Investment Plans (SHIPS).
Carry out risk and financial appraisals to assist in the assessment of project viability.
Prepare submissions to and manage Scottish Government's HARP system on behalf of organisation.
Prepare submissions and appraisals to the Scottish Government and other grant giving organisations and ensure grant condition are met and claims processed.
Assist in option appraisals and project scoping for new build and major refurbishment projects, including evaluation of placemaking and housing need principles.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader ideally within construction, surveying, project management, planning or similar. With a strong understanding of managing mid to large scale projects and budgets within the public sector. You will have strong IT and communication skills. Your role will liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders such as your strategic managers and members of the local community so a problem solving mindset is essential.
