Like us, you know the importance of delivering projects end-to-end, on time and within a set budget. But could you do more? Have a bigger impact? And develop your skills along the way? We think so. And it’s something you can achieve here.

FCDO Services provides construction, technology and logistics services to governments and institutions around the world. So whether we’re rolling out secure WiFi in government buildings or restoring an embassy with important heritage, our projects are varied, impactful and rewarding. It’s the kind of work where your expertise will be valued from start to finish.

Deliver unfamiliar projects in familiar ways

As a Principal Project Manager UK, you’ll help us deliver a portfolio of projects valued anywhere up to-£30M. You’ll have the important job of managing the delivery of estates and security projects within the UK.

It’s a role with huge scope, both delivery and compliance focused but thanks to your ability to manage projects to time quality and cost, manage risk, achieve compliance requirements and control governance across your own and others projects you will have a huge part to play in ensuring our projects run smoothly.

Look after the people that protect the nation’s interests

You’ll be the face of project delivery for the UK work portfolio. As part of this, you’ll work with a wide range of people. It’s something that will require great communication skills and ability to build relationships. As an inspiring leader, your team will count on you to be responsive, reliable and easy to work with. It’s just one of the ways you’ll work so well with such a wide range of people. Whether you’re liaising with clients, or managing contractors, installation professionals or designers, you’ll make sure everyone has what they need to be compliant and efficient.

Discover a bigger impact and bigger reward

You’ve got a lot of great qualities: you communicate clearly, you champion collaboration and you think ahead. These are just a few of the things you’ll need to become an effective Principal Project Manager. You’ll also need to be an excellent leader, capable of bringing people together on the same journey. And you’ll lean on your previous experience and your understanding of UK construction and relevant legalisations.

But you’ll get a lot back, too. That starts with great benefits, including hybrid working, paid travel expenses, a civil service pension, and more. Finally, and most importantly, there’s the sense of pride. At the end of every day, you’ll know that you’ve contributed to broader and important work that protects people, assets, and information all over the world. In short, it’s your job, bigger.
