Associate Project Manager Job in East Central London

Associate Project Manager job in East Central London, for a progressive multidisciplinary construction consultancy. This is a great opportunity to join a sociable and growing team working on a variety of projects across residential and mixed-use for mainly private developer clients. The role offers a Competitive and Negotiable basic + Bonus + Travel + Hybrid Working.

Established 6 years ago, the construction consultancy is renowned for their modern methods of construction, delivering homes whilst being aware of societal and environmental challenges. Made up of 105 employees across cost management, project management and technical design management, they serve the residential, affordable housing, BTR, Student Accommodation, Mixed-Use and Later Living sectors. They are a growing consultancy working on exciting London based schemes. We are looking for Associate level / Senior Project Manager candidates from ideally a construction consultancy background.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director with a focus on Project Delivery and Team Management
  • Influence the strategic direction of the business through development of clients, service, people, operations, innovation, and technology
  • Project Lead for one or more projects delivering positive outcomes for clients
  • Managing Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers
  • Develop a close relationship with clients with the intention of gaining repeat business
  • Develop a close relationship with the professional team
  • Work closely with the Cost Management team to understand costs and achieve the best commercial outcomes for clients
  • Understand (and help others to understand) the distinction between outcomes and outputs, taking strategic responsibility for client outcomes
  • Produce and maintain a project development programme with guidance from others
  • Understand the critical success factors, for all work stages of the project lifecycle from site acquisition to handover
  • Be familiar with challenges to the real estate and construction industry, applying the lessons learned to day-to-day project delivery
  • Continually develop your understanding of current industry challenges and opportunities such as modern methods of construction, environmental, social and governance agenda and pre-manufacture value
  • Contribute to the Knowledge Champion Group through research, information sharing and presenting to the wider business
  • Utilise, embed, and help improve best practice tools and processes including the use of technology to support service delivery
  • Understand business risk and work with a Director to mitigate as required
  • Constantly reviewing ways to improve our business across our core business platforms
  • Use existing client and consultant network to generate and convert new business leads
  • Assist with the production of fee proposals/bids.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to lead on large scale residential / mixed-use schemes from feasibility to handover
  • Experienced in leading a project management team
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge across all project work stages
  • MRICS or similar
  • A track record of delivering innovation in service and through technology
  • Demonstrable track record of strategic thinking
  • Skilled in developing client and other project relationships
  • Commercial acumen and business risk management experience
  • Ability to win repeat business through building successful project relationships
  • Desire to develop your wider professional network
