We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our New Infrastructure team delivering the London Power Tunnels project (LPT), currently National Grid’s biggest investment in the HV electricity transmission system in the UK. The £1 billion project, to rewire South London via newly deep underground tunnels runs until 2026. This vital work will help keep Londoners connected to safe and reliable electricity supplies.
As Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of your package safely, to time and within regulatory allowances, successfully integrating across the LPT scheme to manage and mitigate risk and achieve the project outcomes. You will have the responsibility of inspiring and motivating your Project Managers to establish a high performing multi-discipline team, continually developing, and looking to find a better way for a sustainable future.

We’re looking for someone who is going to take the job personally! Someone who is going to be completely committed to getting their package of works delivered safely, on time and to budget. You will have a background employing project management practice in an energy, utility or infrastructure environment. You’ll have strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience of leading cross functional teams and a stakeholder-centric approach to delivering a high-quality output. You’ll be a self-starter who is good at playing devil’s advocate and foreseeing potential problems.
You’ll ideally have a degree or qualification in project management, engineering, business management or equivalent experience.

- Salary of £60,000 - £74,000 dependent on capability
- Hybrid working between Home and Office/Site
- Annual Performance Based Bonus of up to 15% of your base salary
