Innovation, Impact and Business

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

This is an open ended (time limited funding) contract with an end date of the 30th June 2027. This post may be extended subject to additional funding.

Summary of the role

Ranked among the top 150 universities in the world, Exeter has become one of the UK’s fastest growing and fastest rising research universities. We are investing in the Directorate of Innovation, Impact and Business to drive forward our already strong relationships with business; grow our potential for significant impact; and galvanise regional and global innovation.

A postholder with high levels of spoken and written Portuguese is required to support and/or manage an exciting collaborative international research project.

The post is offered across two salary scales to reflect varying levels of project management experience; the E-grade open to professionals looking to develop their project management skills and F-Grade post for candidates with proven project management experience. Candidates are requested to indicate the Grade at which they are applying.

The postholder will act as Project Manager OR Project Support Officer for a largescale, international collaborative nature-based solutions research programme. This exciting and transformative programme will be supporting an interdisciplinary academic team of bioscientists and geographers and international partners to deliver ambitious outcomes for climate change mitigation.

The postholder will manage and or support a variety of aspects of programme and project delivery, including close liaison and relationship management of international collaborative partners.

In addition to the essential language requirements, previous experience of project management/support would be desirable, as would a keen interest in nature based solutions and/or climate change related sectors.

The successful candidate will be interested in the latest research impacts across the economy and society, and possess excellent communication skills.

Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
