This is great opportunity for a Project Manager to work on the roll-out of a world class ERP/Manufacturing System at a newly constructed giga-plant, and become a subject matter expert for all future global implementations.
This is a permanent role based on-site in Sunderland, with one day a week remote working.

THE COMPANY:
For over 15 years, this engineering company has pioneered the development and innovation of advanced power storage solutions and applications for the renewable energy sector.


Having recently completed the construction of their new giga-plant in Sunderland, they are taking the opportunity to implement an all-new off-the-shelf Manufacturing System, which will eventually be rolled out to their other sites globally.

THE ROLE:
Working within the Planning, Change and Projects (PCP) team, responsible for the management of the plant's IT infrastructure and IS systems, this role is focused on coordinating the activities of a small project team delivering systems-related projects and changes.


Responsibilities:

  • Management and co-ordination of the new system implementation as well as ad-hoc systems development and changes
  • Management of projects scope, requirements, deliverables & schedule
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to QCT (Quality, Cost and Time)
  • Co-ordination of systems commissioning for new plants and new facilities
  • Stakeholder and vendor management
  • Ensuring all change is subject to robust Change Management
  • Supporting the co-ordination of resources and activities of a small project team
  • Preparation and delivery of reports to department and plant management


REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:

  • Experience managing systems-related projects
  • Experience working to and reporting on project KPI's
  • Highly organised with the ability to demonstrate experience of change control within technical environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good written, communication and negotiation skills
  • Educated to degree level
  • Right to work in the UK


Nice to have's/ non-essential's

  • Delivery of systems-related projects within a manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to Agile project methodologies
  • Experience of project budgets
  • Technical certifications within the IT project management space
  • Experience of Hypercare & hand over from project teams to ongoing operational support
